Abstract: Current partnerships build on previous partnership grants by continuing to foster the involvement of Canadian universities and academic researchers in research cooperation for development. The African University College of Communications (AUCC) seeks to raise awareness of the broad impacts and benefits of North-South research among key decision-makers in government and the university community. Through research and policy dialogues, the engagement of the Canadian university community in North-South research for development is examined in relation to such key issues as faculty recognition and reward structures as well as the roIe of diaspora faculty. The report provides details on undertakings by the AUCC.
