Research and development requirements on post-harvest systems

Abstract

Report of a conference on post-harvest losses of grains especially during storage. Examines need for new techniques in food storage and food processing, adequate agricultural marketing systems, appropriate technology transfer; discusses benefits of an efficient post-harvest system (e.g. in terms of agricultural economics, nutrition, etc.); makes recommendations concerning future agricultural research activities.
